WACE International Curriculum

The Western Australian Curriculum: Rigorous, Globally-Minded, and Future-Focused

At Golden Bridge International School, we are committed to providing a learning environment that is rigorous, supportive, and globally-minded. Our curriculum is designed for breadth, depth, and academic rigor, ensuring high standards and transparency at every level. 

  

The Western Australia Certificate of Education (WACE) Curriculum is designed to give students the best possible opportunity to pursue post‑school options, whether these be university, training or the world of work.

 


Students who successfully complete the WACE program will receive an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) that provides a seamless transition into:


  • Western Australian universities 
  • leading universities around the world 
  • a wide range of career opportunities in areas such as business, finance, health, the sciences, engineering, mathematics, humanities, law, English and information technology

Kindergarten to year 10

The Early Years and Primary (Kindergarten to Year 10)


The Western Australian Kindergarten to Year 10 Curriculum (WA K-10 International) delivers quality curriculum and assessment at international standard for Pre-primary to Year 10 students and builds a strong foundation in "21st Century skills".  

  

The WA K-10 International enables all students to become confident, creative learners, and active, informed citizens who contribute positively to society. Students are able to study this world-class curriculum without leaving their country.


WA K–10 International contains year‑level syllabuses for eight mandated learning areas including:


• English

• Health and Physical Education

• Humanities and Social Sciences

• Languages

• Mathematics

• Science

• Technologies

• The Arts.

WACE International (Year 11 to 12)

 Our senior secondary program is the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) International.  (WACE International) offers a wide range of courses that enable students from diverse backgrounds to study programs that meet the highest education standards.  


This two-year program is the definitive pathway for Years 11 and 12 International School Phnom Penh students seeking global university access.


Your WACE Advantage:


  • Global University Access: The WACE is a nationally and globally recognized qualification.
  • ATAR Score: Graduates are issued an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR), which is accepted by top universities around the world. Secure your WACE ATAR Cambodia qualification with us.

Students may enroll in the following courses as part of their WACE International studies:


  • English – English, English as an Additional Language or Dialect, English Literature
  • Business – Accounting and Finance, Business Management and Enterprise, Economics
  • Mathematics – Mathematics Applications, Mathematics Methods, Mathematics Specialist
  • Sciences – Biology, Chemistry, Human Biology, Physics, Psychology
  • Technologies – Applied Information Technology, Computer Science
  • Languages – Please speak to the SCSA to find out which courses are available
  • The Arts – Media Production and Analysis.


Final marks for each student in each course are calculated using 50% of marks from school‑based assessment moderated by 50% of marks from the final ATAR course examination.
